Richard C. Brabson, Sr.

October 31, 1955 - January 7, 2022


Richard C. Brabson, Sr., 66, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.


Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was raised in South Jersey, Richard has resided in Hamilton area for the past 44 years. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War who served on the USS John F. Kennedy CV 67.


Richard also worked for the Township of Hamilton for the past 9 years. He was the Second Officer for the Chapter 300 Southern Cruisers Riding Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, camping, skiing, and playing quoits in the Cool Cricket Quoit League. He was a true patriot at heart, who loved his country, but most of all he loved his family and friends. He was always ready to enjoy every day to it's fullest, whether going on road trips with his wife, having a get together with the family, or the many days he spent with his grandchildren whom he adored. He was a breath of fresh air for all and will be greatly missed by those lucky enough to have him in their lives.


Predeceased by his father, Donald Brabson, his mother Nancy Coffea, and his stepfather John Coffea;

he is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Dawn M. Hartman Brabson; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Erica Brabson, Jr., and John and Elsa-Vilhemina Brabson; two grandchildren, Aria Rose and Carter Jacob Brabson; his siblings, Donna Scrodin and her husband Doug, Donald Brabson, Patti Hanson and husband Ron, Linda Coffea, Regina Coffea, and John Coffea and his wife Elsa;

his good friend Earl Stout, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.


Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening, January 13, 2022, from 6:00p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ. A brief prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
