Patrick H. Allen, Sr., 82, of Forked River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ he was a longtime area resident moving to Forked River in 1989. He was a 1958 graduate of Trenton Catholic High School. Patrick worked for 16 years at Pathmark in Hamilton, and then retired from PSE&G after 35 ½ years of service as an Electrical Substation Mechanic. He enjoyed cooking and had an extensive collection of pots and pans. He was also very handy, and over the years had amassed many tools of the trade. Patrick loved going on cruises, especially to St. Martin and the Caribbean with his loving wife Theresa.
Predeceased by his parents William S. and Mary C. (McCann) Allen, and his siblings, William Allen and Agnes M. Allen; he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Theresa (Ercoli) Allen; his children, Elizabeth M. Stewart and her husband Graham, Patrick H. Allen, and William S. Allen and his wife Debra; granddaughter, Elizabeth G. Stewart; great grandson, James Patrick Panebianco; as well as many other family members and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton. A prayer service will be held at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
