Pablo Santiago

October 26, 1976 - December 26, 2018

Pablo Santiago, 42, of Trenton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.


Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.


Pablo began his Law Enforcement Career in 1999 at the Animal Control for the City of Trenton. In April of 2001 he worked for the Public Safety Telecommunications City of Trenton, then he began his career at Trenton Police as a Property Crimes Detective which lead to a lateral transfer as Detective to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department in 2004 until present. There he served as a Detective for the ATF Fugitive Task Force, process server, and dedicated member of the Project Life Saver Program.


Pablo was the PBA President of Local 187 from 2010 to 2018. In 2015 he was the Valor Award Recipient Honored by the State PBA for demonstrating outstanding performance in the line of duty. Pablo was honored with a Community Impact Award for helping the City of Trenton and the Rosado Family. He also was an avid member of Mercer Lodge #50 Free and Accepted Masons.


Most of all Pablo enjoyed spending time with loved ones and friends, being the life of the party, and was never seen without his contagious smile.


Grandson of the late Valentine Perez, Sr., he is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Nini Santiago; his two beloved daughters, Ava and Gianna; his parents, Jose Juan Santiago and Daisy Perez; grandmother Carmen A. Perez; and loving sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a brotherhood of Law Enforcement Officers and friends.


Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton Twp., NJ 08610. A Christian Funeral Service will be conducted 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
