Francisco Danilo Barrios, 56, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Salcaja, Guatemala, he came to the United States at the age of 16. First residing in California for several years before taking up his permanent residence in Trenton, New Jersey. He was a hard worker, phenomenal cook, and enjoyed spending time in the kitchen making new recipes for his family. He also loved to listen to Mariachi music. Francisco was a very sweet, loving man who adored his family, especially his grandchildren.
Predeceased by his mother, Alicia DeLeon; he is survived by his father, Baudilio Barrios; his beloved wife of 32 years, Ilse Rodas Barrios; sons, Francisco A. Barrios, and Carlos Zapata and his wife Sonia; daughter, Maria Barrios and her fiancé Gerardo Barillas; sisters Esther Barrios, Olga Barrios, Esperanza Barrios and Delisia Barrios; brothers, Oscar Barrios and Mynor Barrios; and his 5 grandchildren, Jayden and Alexa Barillas, and Maria, Carla and J.C. Zapata.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the
Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00am on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 151 N Warren St, Trenton, NJ 08608.
Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
