Elizabeth F. Sandhoff

March 5, 1927 - February 4, 2019


Elizabeth F. “Betty” Sandhoff, 91, of Hamilton Township passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Hamilton.


Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident.


Betty was a lifetime member of St. Matthias’ Episcopal Church in Hamilton, as well as a member of the Altar Guild Society, and a current member of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Yardville. She worked for many years as a Hamilton Township Democratic Committee Woman, and was also a member of the International Rainbow Girls which was a chapter of the Eastern Star. In her spare time Betty was an avid bowler, excellent baker, and was known for her Christmas cookies that she proudly baked every year for family, friends, and her church. Most of all she loved her church, family, and her beloved grandson and great grandsons.


Daughter of the late Raymond G. and Florence Samsel Bush, wife of the late Elmer “Sandy” Sandhoff, sister of the late Doris Knight, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Gary Thompson of Boyton Beach, Florida; her grandson Brian Thompson and his wife Sheri; great grandsons, Hunter and Hayden Thompson, all of Winchester, Virginia; two nieces, Dori Rendmonti, and Deb Patterson.


Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton. A brief prayer service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Arthur Pierce-Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
