Bertha M. Baggaley

April 3, 1924 - March 13, 2021

Bertha M. Baggaley, 96, of Hamilton passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Hamilton, Broad Street Park area resident.

Bertha and her late husband Elmer were long time members of St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Hamilton. Bertha spent her adult life happily caring for her husband and four children, making sure they all had wonderful lives. She and her family enjoyed camping trips, time at the shore and holidays at the Baggaley’s, all which created many happy memories. In recent years, when mobility became difficult, she was happiest in her comfortable recliner where she enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, and reading her books along with a warm cup of tea. Most of all Bertha loved her family and her home. She was so grateful that she was able to stay in the home that she loved thanks to the endless and selfless care given to her by her son Bob and her daughter Debbie.

Daughter of the late Andrew and Emma Brenner Werner, wife of the late Elmer Baggaley, sister of the late Joseph and Harry Werner, Doris Moll, and Evelyn Majoros, she is survived by her four children, Robert Baggaley with whom she resided, Alan Baggaley and his wife Nancy, Carol Epifanio and her husband Charles, Debbie Randall and her husband Don; four grandchildren, Chad Epifanio, Craig Epifanio and his wife Mary, Laura Doyle and her husband Matthew, and Matthew Baggaley; four great grandchildren, Remy, Adi, Clara, and Declan; special niece Gloria Moore, and special “son like neighbor” John David Duffy; as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, 9:30 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton with Rev. Kenneth Buck officiating. Burial will follow in Colonial Memorial Park.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home.

Please follow all social distancing and CDC guidelines.
