Vita Maida Ray

February 10, 1928 - April 19, 2021


Vita Maida Ray, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021at home surrounded by her loving family.


Born in Trenton, NJ she was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident. Vita worked for the New Jersey Department of Education and the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf for many years as an Administrative Secretary before her retirement. She graduated from the Trenton Conservatory of Music and was an accomplished Pianist. She enjoyed classical music and playing her favorite concertos for various groups and organizations. She attended Rider College School of Business in the Secretarial Science Curriculum. She was a member of the St. Raphael/Holy Angels Parish.


Predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Helen (Ciccarelli) Maida, and her husband Robert Ray; she is survived by her caring and devoted son, Brian Ray;a supporting and helpful brother, Joseph Maida, whose generosity will never be forgotten; several cousins, a niece, a nephew and many dear friends.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.


Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the Memorial Home.


Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled Trust for the Benefit of Brian Ray, and may be mailed to the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.
