Vilma L. Mathews, 89, of Trenton, passed away on Friday at RWJ Hospital in Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, Vilma was a lifelong area resident.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church. Vilma was employed at S.S. Kresge Department Store in Trenton for many years, and then worked at the Holy Cross School Cafeteria for 10 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time in Seaside Park, sewing, reading, and most of all spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Daughter of the late John T. and Rose Snyder Littwin, Sr., sister of the late John and Louis Littwin, she is survived by her two daughters, Valerie Kuhns and Marian Mathews, her sister Barbara Burrows; her granddaughter Christina Kuhns and partner Dianne Miller; her favorite nieces, Jessica Torres, Jailyn, Jordyn, and Juliana Kruk; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Due to public regulations, a private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton. Private Burial will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
