Venette Lundy passed away on Sunday December 10, 2023 after a brief and devastating illness. She was 83 years old.
She was born on November 28, 1940 in Jeremie, Haiti to Louise Bontemps and Émira Lundy. She moved to Port-au-Prince, Haiti at an early age.
She loved to cook, and devoted herself to makes exquisite dishes at work and at home.
Venette was the proud mother of deceased, Elizabeth L. Juste and grandmother of Jahleishai and Erika Juste. She treasured her grandchildren and enjoyed every moment with them. She was everyone’s grandma.
She moved to Florida after the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, which took her only daughter, Elizabeth.She is survived by her grandchildren Jahleishai and Erika Juste; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
Family and friends are encouraged to meet at the church no later than 10:20 a.m. in order to be seated and settled prior to the beginning of the mass.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
