Thomas R. Zola, Sr., 84, of Yardville, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at RWJ University Hospital @ Hamilton surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Tom retired from the Trenton Fire Department as a Captain after 30 years of service. In his spare time he was an avid golfer, enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and he and his wife Dolores enjoyed their regular lunch stops at Fame, and Broad Street Diner. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and adored his grandchildren.
Son of the late Michael and Sophie Lech Zola, brother of the late Leonard, Frederick, and Edward Zola, and Dorothy Mitchell, he is survived by his loving wife Dolores Rutolo Zola of 60 years; two children and their spouses, Thomas and Kimberly Zola, Jr., and Judy and Ron Dupp, all of Yardville; two grandchildren, Matthew Zola, and Brianna Dupp; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Monday morning, June 3, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville. Services will be held 11 a.m. at the memorial chapel with the clergy of St. Raphael’s Church officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
