Thomas J. Foden, 65, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, at his home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his devoted sisters.


Born in Trenton, and raised in Hamilton Twp., Thomas was a lifelong area resident and a proud graduate of Hamilton High West, Class of 1978. He dedicated many years of service as an Administrative Assistant with the State of New Jersey, Office of the Judiciary at the Justice Complex, before retiring. Known for his kind spirit and gentle nature, Thomas lived a life filled with simple joys and treasured passions.


He had a great love for antique cars and could often be found attending car shows, traveling near and far to admire classic automobiles. He also enjoyed collecting foxes, stained glass pieces, and other rare and unique treasures. His collections reflected his appreciation for beauty, creativity, and the joy of discovery. Trips to the Jersey Shore, especially to Beach Haven, brought him much happiness and peace.


Predeceased by his loving parents, Thomas J. and Carol (Varianka) Foden; his sister, Lorraine Foden Welsh; and his dear friend, Edward Bastecki. He is survived by his dear sisters, Elaine M. Cataldi and Arlene Foden; his uncle, Andrew Varianka; his longtime friends, Edward and Marie Conroy; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends who will forever remember him with love and fondness.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ.


Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation, which will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ.


Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
