Theresa M. Bross

November 13, 1930 - October 27, 2022

Theresa M. Bross, 91, of Hamilton passed away peacefully, on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Members of her loving family surrounded her. Born in Bristol, PA, to the late Bridget and Daniel Dugan, she met her husband Milton M. Bross at a church dance hall. They were married in 1953 and bought their first and only home in Groveville, where they raised their family and stayed for 65 years. For the past four years, she resided at Homestead in Hamilton.


Theresa graduated from Bristol High School, Class of 1948. After working with Bristol Engineering, she then went on to work for the State of New Jersey in the Division of Gaming Enforcement. Since its inception in 1955, Theresa and her husband Milton, were original members of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Yardville, where she was part of the Alter Rosary Society. Theresa held roles as the Secretary, and President of the Sunshine Committee with the Golden Hour Senior Citizens Club of Groveville which supported many workshops and fundraisers for the local seniors.


When her children were young, Theresa was highly active with the Groveville and Yardville School PTA. She enjoyed dancing, live music, bus trips, card games, sewing, crocheting, and supporting her children’s artistic and sports endeavors. Theresa was a wonderful host, and always made space at the dinner table for her children’s friends. She was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles and Flyers.


Theresa and her late husband Milton were married for 66 years. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Thomas and Joyce Bross, Stephen and April Bross, Karen Ungerer and partner Gene Stroh, and Mary Anne and Trevor Hjelmfelt; five grandchildren: Stephanie Bross, Melissa Bross, Gabrielle Rendek-Jablonski and husband Derek, Shannon Rendek, and Carter Hjelmfelt; as well as one great grandson Jack Jablonski, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sibling of eight, her upbeat attitude and great wit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.


Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from

6pm-8pm at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.


A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11am at St. Vincent De Paul Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Rd, Yardville.


She will be laid to rest beside her loving husband in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Twp.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Vincent De Paul Church.
