Susan Boote, 73, of Hamilton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at home.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, it was where she met the love of her life Thomas. After they were married, Tom was honorably discharged from the Navy, they moved to NJ and it was there that they started their family.
In her younger years, Susan was a homemaker who cared for her family. When her children went off to school, she went to work for the Township of Hamilton and held many jobs including a Crossing Guard and a Park Guard at Sayen Gardens. Susan was a woman of strong faith and was a devout member of the Windsor Chapel in Princeton Junction. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and VBS (Vacation Bible School). Susan was a peaceful, serene, and sentimental woman. The love of family meant everything to her. Nothing was more important in her life than her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, and will be missed by those who loved her.
Predeceased by her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas E. Boote; daughter and son-in-law, Doreen and Andrew Velez; son, Tobias Aaron Boote; brothers, James (Janis) Lumpkin and Roger Lumpkin; grandchildren, Austin, Brianna, Riley, Elliana, and AJ; brothers-in-law, Bill (Jan) Boote, Henry (Nicole) Boote, and Bob Boote; sister-in-law, Pam Moon; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, with Dr. Andrew Straubel, of the Windsor Chapel, officiating.
Burial will take follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Chapel, 350 Provinceline Road, North Hanover Twp, NJ.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 p.m, at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home.
