Sarah Santaniello Ulak

February 16, 1943 - May 5, 2025

Sarah Santaniello Ulak, 82, of Ewing, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 5, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family.

Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Sarah was a lifelong resident of the area. She dedicated many years of service to the Mercer County Board of Social Services before retiring. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Sarah had a true passion for cooking—nothing brought her more joy than a kitchen filled with family, friends, and the aroma of a home-cooked meal. Feeding others was her love language, and she made sure no one ever left her home hungry.

Sarah was a rare soul—genuine, grounding, and magnetic. She was the one everyone turned to for advice, comfort, and support. She listened without judgment, spoke with honesty, and always had a way of making people feel seen and valued. Even in her own moments of discomfort, she never complained, insisting she was “fine” or “feeling okay.” Her selflessness was unmatched, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Home was her sanctuary, but Sarah also had a vibrant spirit, she could light up a room and party like a rockstar. She loved a good cup of coffee and never said no to a late-night snack. Above all, she cherished her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her daughters and grandson knew no bounds, and she poured her heart into every moment with them. Sarah will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, incredible mother, and adoring grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Concetta (Bisanzio) Santaniello; her siblings, Vincent Santaniello, Gloria McLaughlin, Bea (Don) Smith, and Tony Santaniello; her lifelong best friend, Carol Bryce; and her beloved niece, Elise (Santaniello) James.

Sarah leaves behind her beloved husband, Rudolph Ulak; her loving daughters, Kimberly Ulak and Donella Ulak, and her husband, Steve Remboske; her cherished grandson, Alexander (Kaitlyn) Wilke; and her adored great-grandson, Logan Wilke. She is also survived by her special nieces, Michele Burroughs and her family, Joelle Resnick and her family, and Gloria McPherson; her sister-in-law, Jackie Santaniello; her dear friend, Dolores Reading; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, neighbors, and treasured friends.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sarah's name to the Demetia Society of America, PO Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901 or online at https://dementiasociety.charityproud.org/donate
