Robert “Bob” Whittaker, 53, of Bordentown passed away at home on Thursday, September 5, 2019.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident most recently residing in Bordentown.
Bob was a Navy Veteran of the Gulf War. He also was a retired HVAC mechanic. Always willing and able to help a friend or family member, Bob enjoyed living his life. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed sports, rooting for the NY Giants, playing poker, always watched the Price is Right, and most of all spending time with his family.
Son of the late Milton and Margaret North Whittaker, Jr., brother of the late Joseph Dekovitch, he is survived by his two sons, Robert C. Whittaker and his wife Monica, and James Whittaker; three siblings, William Dekovitch and his wife Denise, Milton Whittaker III and his wife Laura, and Margaret Alagona; dearest friends, Gerry and AnnMarie Martinez; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, 9:30 a.m. at the Buklad Yardville Memorial chapel with local clergy officiating. Burial will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
Due to cemetery regulations for flowers the family would ask memorial contributions be made to Soldier On, 425 North Main St., Leeds, MA 01053
