Robert W. Steckert, 83, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on the morning of Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 under the care of Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton, NJ.


Born in Kearney, NJ, he was a longtime resident of the Yardville area. Bob was employed with MII in the steel export industry for many years before continuing his career with Power Magnetics. Following his retirement, he remained active, working at ACME in Yardville.


Bob enjoyed sports of all kinds and especially loved vacationing at the Jersey Shore, with Seaside, Atlantic City, and Brigantine among his favorite destinations. A true family man, nothing brought him greater joy than raising his family and spending time with his beloved wife. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


Predeceased by his parents, August and Hazel (Shupe) Steckert; he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Donna (Drahofsky) Steckert; children, Robert Erik (Monique) Steckert, Kelly (Sean) Riggs, Daniel Disharoon, and Robert Courtney Steckert; a sister, Lorraine Rubutsky; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.


Services will be private and under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
