Robert W. Conklin

February 20, 1931 - June 10, 2026

Robert W. Conklin, 95, of Bordentown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Capital Health Systems at Hopewell, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife and daughter.

Born in Trenton, Bob was a lifelong area resident. He resided in Groveville for 62 years before recently making Bordentown his home. At the age of 17, he left high school to answer the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Navy. During his nine years of military service, he served aboard various aircraft carriers and was stationed out of Bremerton, Washington. A proud veteran of the Korean War, Bob was honorably discharged from the Navy and carried great pride in his service throughout his life.

Following his military career, Bob began working for DeLaval Turbine, where he dedicated 37 years of loyal service before his retirement.

A faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Yardville, Bob lived a life guided by faith, family, and service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed surf fishing, collecting Navy memorabilia, and making trips to Atlantic City. He will be remembered for his patriotism, strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and the love he shared with his family and friends

Predeceased by his father, Walter Conklin; mother, Myrtle (Webb) Conklin; stepmother, Genevieve Conklin; brother, Ronald Conklin; sisters, Patricia Brozena, Mary Jane Stellerine, Charolette Olex and Eileen Papp; he is survived by his bride of 72 years, Constance (Zoda) Conklin; daughter, Sharon Hardifer; grandsons, Ryan (Tammie) Hardifer, and William Hardifer; great grandchildren, Dominic, Connor, James, and Nate Buszko, Logan and Kaden Hardifer, Tenley and Aria Hardifer; a great great granddaughter, Charolette Buszko; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday June 16, 2026 from  9:00  a.m.– 11:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville- Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Interment with honors will immediately follow at the Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, North Hanover Twp., NJ 08562.
