Robert D. Lownie, Jr.

May 8, 1985 - March 27, 2022

Robert D. Lownie, Jr., 36, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022.


Born in Princeton, NJ, he was a longtime Hamilton area resident, and attended Steinert high School. Bobby worked for many years in the landscaping industry, and also worked in the automotive industry as a detailer. He was an avid fisherman, and in his younger years he was a Sea Cadet in Ewing Twp. and enjoyed playing softball.


Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Dody Rooney, paternal grandfather, Carl Lownie , paternal step grandfather, Vic Edmond; aunt Christine Rooney Armenti, and cousin, Johnpaul Rooney; he is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary Ann Rooney and Joseph P. Alessi, Jr.; his father Robert D. Lownie, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Kitty Edmond; step sister, Robyn Lownie-Grills; uncle, John Rooney; aunts, Patricia (Alan) Lang, Carol Peoples, and Cathi (Jim) Macheda; many cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.


A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, with local clergy officiating.


Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the Memorial Home.


Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

My Dearest Son,I am sorry no one ever took a moment,to acknowledge your passing ,or acknowledge my deepest Loss... Underneath your addiction was a beautiful person!

,with an incredible spirit filled with hope and dreams,passions and fears,someone who had something to offer,you were so much more then your addiction. I your Momma never left your side If loved could of saved you,you still will be here

I hope you are finally at peace,I know your pain was deep. Rest easy Bobo,no more judgemental looks,words or thoughts,from judgemental uncaring people.. Rest in God's Land Son..Not a day goes by I don't think of you,I miss you soo!!
