Robert B. Kraml, 85, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Trenton, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, Trenton Junior College, and Drexel University.
Bob retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation in 1993, with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the DOT bowling league during his time working with the State. He enjoyed 30 years of retirement doing the things he loved. He was an avid boater who enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, Friday lunch dates with his group of friends who dubbed themselves the “Board of Directors,” traveling with his family and friends, watching his granddaughter compete in her gymnastics meets, and dinner dates with his and Helen’s various dinner groups, including long-time friends Bill and Barbara Pack and Bob and Rosalie Esposito.
Bob was a Mummer during his teenage years, playing the saxophone and bass clarinet. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Yardville. Bob was a member of Yapewi Aquatic Club in Bordentown and a former member of Capital City Yacht Club in Trenton. He was also a member of the Hamilton Elks, Lodge No. 2262.
Predeceased by his beloved son, Jeffrey Robert; his parents, John Sr. and Julia Gregas Kraml; brother and sister-in-law, John Jr. and Pamela Kraml; brother-in-law, Elmer Hammond; and niece, Ginny Hammond; he is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen Richards Kraml, his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Carl Troilo, and daughter, Dana Kraml; his beloved granddaughter, Carly Troilo, who brought him so much joy; sisters-in-law, Alice Hammond and Shirley Corry; nephews, Paul Kraml (Valerie), Vincent Hammond (Gina), Chuck Hammond (Dina), Richard Corry; and niece, Tiffany Slavin (Jonathan); as well as several cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will begin Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

My deepest sympathies to the Kraml family. Bob was a class act in every good way. It was a pleasure to have known and worked with Bob.
