Richard Dayton, Jr., 65, of Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Capital Health Systems Regional Medical Center at Fuld, Trenton, NJ.
Born in Burlington County Hospital in Mount Holly, NJ, he was a lifelong Southampton resident. He worked for many years as a manager with many local area stores. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, short wave radio, and NHRA Drag racing. Most of all he loved spending time with his fiancé, Jeanette and their dog, Syd.
Predeceased by his parents, Richard Dayton, Sr. and Norma (Adams) Dayton; he is survived by his loving fiancé, Jeanette Morris; his beloved dog, Syd; Jeanette’s family, son, Steven Ayling and his wife, Colleen, and their children Sophia and Olivia; an aunt and uncle, Henry and Doris Dayton; cousins, Dorie, David, Robert and Debra; as well as other relatives and dear friends.
Services were private and under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton, NJ.
