Patricia M. Bernard, 84, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Capital Health Systems Fuld.
Born in Trenton and raised in the Hamilton area, she was a graduate of Hamilton High West. She was a resident of Lawrenceville from 1972-2014, and then she moved back to Hamilton. Patricia worked for Merrill Lynch in the Trading Department and then transitioned into the banking industry. While working in banking, she met her husband at the First National Bank of Central Jersey. She took a break from the work force to stay home and raise her family. She re-entered the work force as Assistant Librarian at the Lawrenceville Middle School and retired as an Assistant Librarian with the Institute for Advanced Study. Patricia was a longtime parishioner of the Church of St. Ann. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, feeding the birds, playing the piano, leisurely drives, trips to the Jersey Shore, boating and fishing with her late husband.
Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Mary Markey; her sister, Ann Duven; her husband Albert A. Bernard, Jr.; and her son Albert A. Bernard, III; she is survived by her son, Michael Bernard and his wife Patricia; two daughters, Suzanne Procaccino and her husband Drew, and Jennifer Thomas and her husband Timothy; grandchildren, Matthew (Katie), Mitchell, Samuel, Chloe, Lance and Sarah; three great granddaughters, Cadence, Charlie Ann and Maddison; a daughter-in-law, Marie Bernard; a nephew, David (Colleen) Springsteen; a niece, Cindy (Joe) Mimmo; and in most recent years she enjoyed spending time with her friend and companion Roy Neuman.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at The Church of St. Ann.
Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Princeton.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, Hamilton.
