Patricia A. Wallace

November 15, 1948 - September 6, 2026

Patricia Ann Wallace (nee Gorzynski), 78, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026, peacefully in her sleep at her home in Manalapan.

Born in Oradell, NJ, Pat resided in Matawan, Yardville, and most recently at Spring Point Living at Manalapan.

With her Art Degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College and her Master’s Degree in Education from Georgian Court College, Pat spent the majority of her teaching years at Thorne Middle School, in Middletown, NJ. At Thorne she created bulletin boards for her colleagues, was involved in stage set design and production, and painted a mural in the cafeteria that still exists today. She shared her creative talents with her church community theater productions at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Keyport. She was an award-winning artist whose paintings were displayed in local galleries in Oradell and Matawan. She also was a commissioned artist for family, friends and neighbors, and would create paintings of family homes and memories, weaving personal details of family lore into her masterpieces, many of which still hang in homes to this day. For Pat, art was a passion, and she opened her home to friends and neighbors to take art lessons, complete with art shows at the end, displaying all of the fine works in her yard.

She was also very involved in her beloved Lochslea Heights neighborhood, volunteering with regularity for various roles on committees organizing picnics, planning holiday parties, writing newsletters, and helping foster a family environment where all of the neighborhood children could thrive.

The biggest joy in Pat’s later years was being Grammy Wallace. Soon after her husband’s passing, she relocated to Yardville to be closer to her four grandchildren. There was nothing that made her happier than hearing the squeals and giggles in her home from the playing of Evan, Ryan, Mia and Jack. No place on earth was more kid friendly than her basement playroom. The messier the better. She opened her home to the families in the local community as well, making it known that Grammy Wallace’s garage was open to provide shelter from the rain for the neighborhood children at the school bus stop. She truly made every community she was a part of a better place to be.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Joseph S. Wallace, D.D.S., parents John and Dorothy Gorzynski, and her brother Paul Gorzynski. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Andrew Sinkleris of Yardville and Cathy and David Palmieri of Yardville; her four loving grandchildren Ryan and Evan Sinkleris, and Mia and Jack Palmieri; her brother and sister-in-law John and Susan Gorzynski of Cochecton Center, her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Cliff Mortensen of Teaneck, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Rose Marie and Joseph Graceffo of Wanaque, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Buklad-Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19, 2026, 12:30 p.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620. There will be no services at the memorial home on Saturday.
