Nicole C. Franus of Yardville, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 29, 2022.
She was born September 20, 1971 in Scranton, PA to Daniel and Catherine (Korpita) Franus. As a child she received all the Catholic Rites from St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Taylor, PA. After matriculating in Old Forge PA, Arlington TX, and Charlotte, NC, she graduated from Ocean City (NJ) High School in 1989. In school she was an accomplished musician (piano and violin) and a 3-year member of her high school tennis team. She then went on to receive an associate degree from Atlantic Cape (NJ) Community College. After college she relocated to the Trenton area where she spent the remainder of her life.
Nicole was a very devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin to a very large family. Affectionately known as Gaga, she was especially fond of her nephews, Zachary and Brody and niece Samantha. She was a prodigious cook, with the ability to whip up gourmet meals from scratch and was the head chef for every holiday meal. She was also fluent in Mandarin.
Nicole is survived by her loving parents, Daniel and Catherine (Korpita) Franus; sisters, Danielle Franus Silverglade, and Kristen Franus; aunts, Pat Oliver, Marion Savinelli; aunt and godmother, June Sarnowski; uncles, Frank Franus, Jan Franus and Dr. Bob Sarnowski; godfather and special friend, Tom Korpita; as well as a very large family to grieve her passing, too numerous to mention in the Korpita and Androski clans.
