Minerva Morales

Minerva Morales, 88, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Laurel Brook Rehab and Care Center in Mount Holly, NJ.


Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she had been a longtime resident of NJ, and was employed with General Motors, retiring after 17 years of dedicated service.


A devoted member of the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, her faith was central to her life. Minerva was a kindhearted, loving and generous woman who always put the needs of others before her own.  She regularly attended church events and was known for her warm presence and commitment to her community.  She cherished spending summer vacationing at the Jersey Shore with her husband and children. During the colder months, she enjoyed retreating to her home in Puerto Rico, where they created many treasured memories together, and spent time with family and friends.


Minerva was predeceased by her parents, Jose Gonzalez Valez and Marciala Molina Gongalez; her beloved husband, Ramon Morales; her sons, Raymond Morales, Jr. and Anthony Morales; and her siblings, Jose, Tony, Olga and Enid.


She is survived by her loving sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Jackie Morales, and Gerardo and Maria J. Morales; her adored grandchildren, Raymond, Carissa, Omar, Ariana, Jessica, Madison, Miraya and Sophia; great granddaughter, Sophia; great grandson, Giovanni; her siblings, Hansel, Arnold, Lester and Milta;  as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends, both in New Jersey and Puerto Rico.


A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 151 North Warren Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.


A Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the mass at the Cathedral from 8:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.


Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.


Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 151 North Warrant Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.


Services are under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
