July 7, 1947 - December 15, 2025

Michael F. Brady, 78, of Cape Coral, FL formerly of Morrisville, PA, passed away on December 15, 2025.
Michael Brady was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 7, 1947 and raised in the Mt. Airy section. He was the oldest of Francis and Helen Brady’s five children: John, Mary Ellen (Eck), Gerald (deceased) and Joseph. Michael Brady was a graduate of LaSalle College High School, and the University of Pennsylvania earning both his undergraduate and doctorate degree in Metallurgy.
Michael F. Brady was a dedicated research scientist working predominately out of the Murray Hill, NJ campus of AT&T Bell Laboratories and later Lucent Technologies. During his tenure, he collaborated on many inventions, nine (9) of which produced patents. Starting in college and for the next 20 years, he spent his Friday nights working a second job delivering newspapers around the greater Philadelphia area. On weekends, although exhausted and with little sleep, he always made sure he was at his kids’ soccer, baseball, track, dance, and marching band events. His unwavering love and commitment to his family always came first. The word “no” was not in his vocabulary when it came to his kids, grandkids, and wife. Becoming a grandfather was his biggest joy in life; he was never happier than when he was surrounded by his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost sixty (60) years, Diane Brady (Shaeffer); his four children, Mark A. Brady (Christina Jones), Michael Scott Brady (Mary Chapman), Patrick H. Brady (Keri Ahern), and Patrice D. Brady (Bryan Snow); and eight (8) grandkids, Mara E. Brady, Cole P. Brady, Madison S. Brady, Matthew A. Brady, Kaileigh M. Brady, Sean M. Brady, Ella R. Brady, and Kyle E. Brady; as well as many other family members and dear friends.
His family and friends will continue to celebrate his legacy and love, while the memories he left us all with will forever be cherished.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 343 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.
