MaryAnn Fanelli, 80, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday March 3, 2024 peacefully with her caring daughter by her side.
Born March 24,1943, in Mahanoy City, PA, she was a resident of Bordentown for many years, most recently residing in Hamilton. She was a graduate of the Mahanoy Area HS class of 1961. She worked for General Motors in Ewing NJ and Baltimore MD. She was a member of the Bordentown Elks, enjoyed attending the Elks conventions in Wildwood NJ and their annual Halloween Party at the lodge.
In her earlier days, she spent much time with her friends in the Poconos where she met her husband. She took much joy in skiing and snowmobiling. MaryAnn was a trained dancer, exceptional tap dancer, won many competitions and later shared her talents as she became a dance teacher.
She enjoyed going out to dinner with her family and friends, joining her daughters and friends at local wineries, and loved going to the casino to play the slot machines. She visited Atlantic City, Parx Casino, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Reno.
Predeceased by her mother, Helen Kapusnick; brother, Michael Kapusnick; father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Emilio and Rose Fanelli; aunt Mary Mulirchak ("Mecca"); her loving daughter, Stacia Fanelli; and her beloved husband, Alfonso Fanelli; she is survived by her adoring daughter, Christine Fanelli; niece, Gail Ann Kapusnick; brothers and sisters in-law, Albert and Mary Fanelli of Hamilton, Cesidio "Joe" and Bunny Fanelli of California, Antoniette "Toni" Fedor, Theresa Budd of Hamilton, John Fanelli of Hamilton; as well as several nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends.
As MaryAnn was a frequent donor to the Deborah Heart and Lung Center and St. Jude Children's Hospital, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to those charity’s if you wish.
She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery at a private service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bulked-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
