Mary Josephine Bogacz

Mary Josephine Bogacz, 91, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center.


Affectionately known as Josephine to her family and friends, she was born in Trenton, NJ, and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Trenton High School, Class of 1953, and was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Parish and a faithful member of its Sanctuary Guild.


Josephine’s greatest joy in life was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love and devotion were the heart of her home.


She was predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Lucy (Persico) Belviso; her siblings, Donald Belviso Lena Galletti, Angelo Belviso, Jerry Belviso, and Anthony Belviso; and her beloved husband of 59 years, Edward S. Bogacz.


Josephine is survived by her four loving children and their spouses, Janice and Frank Castaldo, Edward and Carolyn Bogacz, Doreen and Mark Risoldi, and Judy and Tom Petroni; her sister, Connie Cuiule; her ten cherished grandchildren, Jessica (Sebastian) De Luca, Kathryn Petroni, Steven Petroni, Zachary Castaldo, Gillian Castaldo, Alyssa (Reece) Prothero, Emily Risoldi,  Kelsey (Zachary) Levin-Epstein, Justin Sheridan, and Sophie Bogacz;  3 great grandchildren, Santiago and Adriana De Luca, and Amelia Levin-Epstein; as well as many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives, and dear friends.


She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love by all who knew her.


 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler St., Trenton, NJ, with Josephine’s nephew, Father Jack Bogacz, officiating.


 Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the mass from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. at the church.


Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mausoleum, Hamilton, NJ.


Due to cemetery and church restrictions, in lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105    https://www.stjude.org or to any charity of the donor’s choice.


Services are under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton, NJ.
