Lydia E. Fonseca, 69, of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Lydia moved to the Trenton area at the age of 5 and has been a lifelong area resident since that time.
Lydia graduated from Trenton Central High School, class of 1969. She worked for many years in childcare, raising and caring for so many through the years. Most recently she worked in customer service for the medical billing industry. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and caring for her flowers, she was a great cook, liked her salsa music, loved the holidays and decorating her home for Christmas. Most of all she loved and adored her two grandsons who were the light of her life. A beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Daughter of the late Angel Adorno, Sr., and sister of the late Angel Adorno, Jr., she is survived by her loving Husband Esteban Fonseca, Jr.; two children, Wilbert Sanchez, Jr. and his spouse Wanda, and Grace Baldino and her spouse John; her mother Margarita Adorno; two grandsons, Christian John and Carlo Angel Baldino; as well as many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton. A brief prayer service will be held 4 p.m. at the memorial home with local clergy officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
