Lloyd J. Brower, Jr.

November 8, 1935 - April 15, 2024


Lloyd Brower, formerly of Hamilton, entered into rest on Monday April 15, 2024, after enjoying a wonderful 88 years.

 

Born in Trenton NJ to Evelyn (Quick) Brower and Lloyd J Brower Sr, he spent many happy years growing up in the Lakeside section of Hamilton Twp. NJ. Upon graduating from Hamilton High School West in 1953, he served in the ROTC as a 2nd lieutenant.  


After his marriage to Joan, they moved to Robbinsville NJ with their blended family. They lived there for many happy years, traveling between there and Florida in the winter months.

 

Lloyd was a lifetime member of  BPO Elks, past president of Kiwanis club and a former member of the Hibernians.  He was employed as a Manager for NJ BELL (Verizon) for 34 years before retiring. After his retirement, they moved to Edgewater Fl where he had many friends and family. Lloyd was a Yankees fan, who loved to dance with his wife, go fishing, travel, cruise and RV, and enjoyed playing golf.


Predeceased by his parents, and one grandchild, Jessica Lawrence; He is survived by his loving  wife, of 43 years, Joan Galager Dublas Brower; 8 children, Pamela Gorman, Valerie Fox, Lloyd J Brower III,  Michael Brower, Joseph (Helen) Dublas, Ronald (Sandra) Dublas  Kathleen (John) DeSio, and Gary (Sherrie) Dublas; 3 brothers, Ken (Marion) Brower, Tim (Dee) Brower, and Robert (Carmella) Brower;  2 sisters-in-law, Jean Powers and Patricia Galager; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him.


A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville NJ 08620.


Entombment will follow in Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.

 

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.


Services are under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
