Laura A. Hansen

March 3, 1953 - July 13, 2021

Laura A. Hansen, 68, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

Born in the Bronx, NY, she was raised in North Brunswick, NJ, and finally moved to the Yardville area in 1982. She graduated from Trenton State College in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and was employed for many years at Mrs. Pev’s Preschool as a teacher. Laura enjoyed crafts, painting, antiquing and trips to Lancaster PA. She loved reality TV and Lifetime movies; her favorite movie of all time was Jaws.

Predeceased by her father, Fred Battaglia; she is survived by her loving husband of almost 40 years, Rick A. Hansen, Sr.; her mother Mary Battaglia; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick A. Hansen, Jr. and Adriana, Justin Hansen and Amanda, Andrew Hansen, Jake Hansen, and Zachary Hansen; her siblings, Mary (Jerry) Boyer, Fred (Colleen) Battaglia, Palma (Bob) Rask, Carolyn Battaglia, Guy (Diane) Battaglia, and Joe Battaglia; 5 grandchildren, Ricky, Aeris, Allie, Noah, and Logan Hansen; god daughter, Kelly Boyer; mother-in-law, Frances Hansen; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Holy Angels Parish, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 16, 2021, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Yardville Memorial Home.

Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum, South Brunswick, NJ.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
