Kevin Toft, 68, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 20, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in the Villa Park section of Trenton, Kevin made Hamilton Township his home for the past 45 years. He was employed by the Hamilton Township Board of Education for the last 17 years, where he was respected by his colleagues and took great pride in his work. Prior to his career with the Township, Kevin was the owner and operator of his own construction company, a testament to his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
Kevin had a lifelong love of music that was at the very heart of who he was. A gifted musician, he wrote songs, played guitar, and performed with numerous local bands throughout the years. His talent was undeniable, and music brought him immense joy. An avid collector of guitars, he could often be found playing, creating, or sharing his passion for music with others. To Kevin, music was more than a hobby—it was a way of life.
Above all else, Kevin treasured the time he spent with his family. He especially cherished the close bond he shared with his sons, who were not only his children but also his best friends. Kevin's warm personality, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor brought laughter wherever he went. He had a unique ability to make people smile and was always ready with a joke, a story, or a clever remark.
Kevin will be remembered for his kind heart, his remarkable musical talent, his devotion to his family, and the joy he brought to those around him

Kevin was the absolute best custodian. We worked together at Sunnybrae for several years. Not only did he take pride in keeping our classrooms clean, he became the Elf on a Shelf master. Our kindergarten elves got up to such mischief that I looked forward to each early morning, wondering where I’d find our elf. Just the memory of this has me smiling, as I’m sure Kevin would want. Rest in peace, Kevin. I’ll always remember those videos of you cleaning to music too!
Kevin was a really nice guy. We played together a few times & he always made everyone smile !
A proud Family man & true example of what a good man should be.
Kevin was an amazing musician, friend, and father. I’m a better person and musician for having known him. He will be missed tremendously. RIP “Uncle Kevin”, till we meet again.
