Kenneth Skwara, 63, of Hamilton Township, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of his devoted family and friends.
Born in Trenton, Kenny was a lifelong resident of the area and was known to all as a kind-hearted, generous soul with a deep love for life. Affectionately known as “Kenny” by his family and friends, he touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kenny dedicated 15 years of his career to the Sheet Metal Workers Union, where he earned the respect of his peers through hard work, skill, and unwavering dedication. He later joined the Township of Hamilton as a Housing Inspector, proudly serving the community for 18 years before retiring.
Outside of work, Kenny lived life to the fullest. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in boating, fishing, kayaking, and staying active. He also had a talent for cooking, often bringing his family and friends together over delicious meals. But more than anything, Kenny’s greatest joy came from spending time with the people he loved. Whether sharing a quiet evening or a weekend on the water, he created memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
He was the beloved son of the late Janet R. Giovannetti Skwara, also predeceased by his father-in-law, Harry Clarkson, he leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Dana, who stood by his side with love and devotion. He is also survived by his father, Robert Skwara; his cherished children, Nicolas Skwara (Maile) and Taylor Skwara (Joseph); and his adored stepchildren, Madison, Joseph, Brody, and Mackenzie Bendas, and his mother-in-law Pamela Clarkson. Kenny was a proud and loving grandfather to Alexander, and a caring brother to his sister, Karen Donoher. He will be deeply missed by his in-laws, Joseph and Tammy Slavin and Jamie Clarkson (Emily); his nieces and nephews, Lucas and Lauren, Zachary and Reece; as well as his dear cousins, Eddie and Diane Skwara and Darren and Chris Skwara. Kenny also shared an unbreakable bond with his lifelong friends, Erin and Jim Andahazy, along with many other extended family members, boating buddies, and lifelong friends who meant the world to him.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening, July 31, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton Township, NJ 08610.
Kindly note, there will be no services held at the funeral home on Friday morning.
Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or cancer.org/donate, a gesture Kenny would have appreciated as a lasting tribute to the caring, generous life he led.
