Kenneth Joseph Adoniz, 77, of Medford, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022.
Born August 13, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York. Ken attended John Jay High School, Class of 1962, then enlisted in the United States Air Force. He both attended basic training and served as a helicopter maintenance technician at Shepard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, achieving the now renamed rank of Buck Sargent(E-4). During this time, he met and married his ex-wife, Cathy Ammerman (deceased) and fathered Cynthia Adoniz-Paulits.
Ken held many interests and hobbies throughout his life such as business, hunting, fishing, reading, carpentry, beekeeping, dancing, and was a brother of the Knights of Columbus. In 1989, Ken and family relocated to Medford, NJ where he made many friends, and traveled with his long-term partner, Cathy Pittman (deceased) and her family. He will be remembered for his dynamic personality, smile, and sense of humor.
Preceded in death by father, Nicholas Adoniz, mother, Julia (née Velez) Adoniz, older brother, Nicholas Adoniz Jr., ex-wife, Cathy Ammerman, and long term partner, Cathy Pittman.
Ken is survived by his adult daughter, Cynthia Adoniz-Paulits; his younger brother, Richard; and nephews Jason and Steven.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 11:00 am at St Mary of the Lakes Roman Catholic Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ 08055.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, Hamilton.
