Kathleen M. Sheldon, 70, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Trenton, NJ, and raised in Ewing, Kathleen was a longtime Yardville area resident. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1974 and went on to earn her degree from Rider University in 1978, graduating magna cum laude. Following her education, she began a career with the State of New Jersey, retiring after more than 25 years of dedicated service.

Kathleen had a lifelong love of learning and a keen interest in languages and cultures from around the world. Her adventurous spirit and passion for education led her to travel abroad, where she enjoyed furthering her studies, exploring new places, and immersing herself in different languages and traditions. These experiences brought her great joy and reflected her curiosity and appreciation for the world around her.

In her spare time, Kathleen enjoyed cooking, especially when it meant bringing family and friends together. While raising her son, she took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming home that quickly became the favorite gathering place for friends. Her door was always open, and everyone who entered was made to feel like part of the family. Her home was filled with laughter, friendship, and wonderful memories. Those years held a very special place in Kathleen's heart, and the love, laughter, and countless memories shared within those walls will forever be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to be a part of them.

Ms. Sheldon was like a second mom to me growing up. I spent countless nights over their house. She truly was an amazing and kind woman. My childhood wouldnt have been what it was without her. To Ed and the rest of the family I am sorry for your loss. If there is anyone worthy of a celebration of life, it was your mom.
