Kathleen A. "Kitty" Mahon

May 18, 1931 - October 24, 2022


Kathleen A. “Kitty” Mahon, 91, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.


Born and raised in Trenton, Kathleen was a longtime resident of Yardville, NJ. She graduated from Hamilton West High School and achieved her nursing degree from Mercer Hospital Nursing program. For 25 years, she worked as a nurse at Mercer Hospital in Trenton. Kathleen was an active Parishioner of Saint Raphael-Holy Angels parish, particularly with the social concerns of ministry where, for the past 20 years or more, she brought smiles to many by volunteering quarterly at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, monthly at Hamilton Grove (formerly Mercer County Geriatric Center) with bingo parties for the residents, an annual patriotic picnic, and other projects. She was a member of the nurse’s alumni association, and the Bell Telephone Pioneers Association, and enjoyed their luncheon get-togethers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with her friends.


Predeceased by her parents, Joseph F. and Katherine A. (Baumgartner) Mickschutz, her husband, John T. Mahon, Sr., and son John T. Mahon; she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Rosemarie Mahon; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Robert King, son, Richard Mahon; daughter-in law, Debra Mahon; her brother Robert J. Mickschutz; grandchildren, Kristen Mahon (Elvis) Lewis, Megan Mahon (John) McQuarrie, Chelsea King (Alexis) Martinez, Briana King, Jacey Mahon, Griffin Mahon, Jansen Mahon, and Ryan Mahon; great grandchildren, Olivia Lewis, Carter Lewis, John McQuarrie Jr., Mason and Trinity Mahon; and many nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and dear friends.


Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.


A prayer service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with local clergy officiating.


Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,

501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
