John J. Stoutenburgh

October 5, 1952 - August 1, 2025

John J. Stoutenburgh, 72, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 1, 2025.

Affectionately known as “Jay” by his family and friends, he was born in Trenton and remained a lifelong resident of the area. Jay spent many dedicated years working as a truck driver for Ritchie and Page Distributing Co. before his retirement. In his later years, he found joy in his daily visits to the Hamilton ShopRite, trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and relaxing days at the shore with his beloved wife.

Jay was known for his charm and incredible dance moves, and he brought energy and joy to any dance floor. A passionate athlete, he played for many years in a men’s softball league, where his talent and dedication earned him a place in the Softball Hall of Fame.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Stella (Horodynski) Stoutenburgh, and his in-laws, Joseph “Bucky” and Roseann (Montani) Battiste.

Jay is survived by his devoted wife, Kimberly (Battiste) Stoutenburgh; his cherished feline companion, Bandit; his sister, Denise (Stanley) Olschewski; niece, Dana Rodriguez; nephew, Gregory Bilecki; great-nephew, Jaxson; and his dear friend, Bernadette Maher, along with many loving relatives and close friends.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Monday August 11, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.

A prayer service will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton, NJ.
