John J. Molnaur, 89, of Bordentown, passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton on May 24, 2020.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. John was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War on the USS Albany and the USS Missouri. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. John also started the blood bank for the Superior Court of New Jersey. He retired from the State of New Jersey Office of Superior Court, at the Justice Complex as a supervisor after 43 years of service. Some of John’s past times include hunting, fishing, traveling, music, reading and his membership in the Titanic Society. He was also an avid history buff who enjoyed anything that involved landing on the moon.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Stella (Tykarsky) Molnaur, he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sharon (German) Molnaur; his daughter, Mary LaCava, his son, John R. Molnaur and his wife Holly; step children, Michael Sobke and his wife Kristi, Kimberly Vargo and her husband Joseph; 6 grandchildren, Brianna Diosteanu and her husband George, Nicole LaCava, Nicholas LaCava, Kierstin Molnaur, Madison Abramowitz and her husband Michael, and Amanda Vargo; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Interment with military honors will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10:00am at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, North Hanover Township, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.John J.
