John “Ed” Young, Sr., 91, of Langhorne, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 17, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, he was a longtime area resident. John moved to South Carolina from 1998 to 2013. Most recently residing in Langhorne.
John was a Veteran of the United Sates Airforce. He retired from U.S. Steel in 1983 after 30 years of service. John was also very artistic and worked for Triangle Arts, and also several different county golf courses as a Starter for many years. In his spare time enjoyed traveling, loved to golf, and was very devoted to his family.
Son of the late Russell and Bertha Albright Young, husband of the late Helen Szuetta Young, father of the late John E. Young, Jr., and brother of the late Audrey Goeke, Russell, Donald, and William Young, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Rosemary Young of Langhorne, PA, with whom he resided; two grandsons, Michael Young (Robin), and Matthew Young (Judy); two great grandsons, Tyler Everett and Michael Young, Jr.; his brother-in-law Fred Goeke; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton. A Catholic prayer service will be held 12 p.m. at the memorial home with local clergy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
