Jeryl E. Sherman

September 2, 1955 - March 12, 2024

Jeryl (Czehut) Sherman, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2024, at her residence in Hamilton Township.

Born in Trenton, Jeryl was raised in Bordentown Township.  Jeryl graduated from Bordentown Regional High School, and for fashion design, she attended Grahm Jr. College in Boston.   After graduating from the Wilfred Beauty Academy, Jeryl was a licensed cosmetologist and spent many years working for numerous beauty salons throughout Mercer County.   She was never without two or more jobs during her career.  Jeryl was equally talented as a waitress and events planner and was a familiar and appreciated presence at many of Mercer County’s well know restaurants.  Perhaps her favorite, the Cranbury Inn, was her long-term employer.

Jeryl was an avid gardener who took great pride and joy experimenting in landscape designs and her home garden was always resplendent in seasonal flowers.  It was surprising to her, when taking her father to his favorite south Jersey fishing spots, that she too developed an appreciation and skill at freshwater fishing.

Predeceased by her parents Donald and Elinor Czehut; her sister and brother in-law Jill and Wayne Conrey; and brother David Czehut.  Jeryl is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Lauren Czehut; sister-in-law Lynette Czehut; three nephews and their wives and children:  Wayne and Jessica Conrey and children Brecken and Lawson Kate; and David Czehut and his wife Katherine and their children Vivienne and Drake; and Collin and Amanda Czehut.  Jeryl is also survived by several cousins and the countless friends that she made during her life.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.

 Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Crosswicks United Methodist Church, PO Box 303, Crosswicks, NJ 08515 or to a charity of your choice.
