July 4, 1931 - February 2, 2025

Jean C. (Stevens) Bialota of Hamilton Square, NJ, passed away on February 2, 2025 of natural causes at Serenity Hospice Care, Hamilton.
Born on the 4th of July during the height of the Great Depression in 1931 in Trenton, NJ, the life-long Hamilton Township resident came of age during World War II. She was 93 years young.
Jean joined the workforce at 16 to help her struggling family, leaving Hamilton High School West for a position at Stangl Pottery. She became a stay-at-home mother, eventually returning to work in the early 70's at the legendary Parfait House in Hamilton Square, before joining the State of New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, from which she retired in 2001. She loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles, the Philadelphia Phillies, all of 'her shows' and any movie that Margaret O'Brien was in.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, John and Emma (Hoag) Stevens; her husband, Louis P. Bialota, Jr.; and daughter, Cathy Jean Gernhardt. She was the middle child of seven, and was also predeceased by siblings Warren, Robert, Patricia, John, James and Sally.
She is survived by her daughter, with whom she resided for the past 12 years, Joyce (Thomas) Cunningham; son, Louis P. (Sherrie) Bialota III; and son, Brian P. Bialota. Jean was the beloved 'Mom Mom' to grandchildren Rebecca Nickell, Jeffrey Lubas, Meghan Cunningham, Kevin Cunningham, Crystal Comuntzis, William Bialota and Travis Bialota; and great-grandmother of Jesse Nickell, Dylan Nickell, Ryan Comuntzis and Emilia Comuntzis. She is additionally survived by her favorite sister-in-law, Eileen Stevens; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
A Gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
Words of Remembrance will be shared at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
