Jean Azzaro, 86, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Hamilton Continuing Care.
Born in Helmetta, New Jersey, she was a lifelong area resident in Hamilton.
Jean and her late husband, Michael, were the owners/operators of Azzaro Brothers Pizza in Hamilton for many years. “Cadillac Jean,” as she was known in her younger years, acquired a 1958 blue and white convertible Cadillac at the age of 25, which was the first of many to come. Jean enjoyed traveling to the Bahamas and Florida with her dear husband. She was also known for her excellent cooking, always preparing special meals for her family and friends. Jean will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Daughter of the late Frank and Mary G. Golaski Zawalich, wife of the late Michael Azzaro, sister of the late Frank P. Zawalich, Jr. and Jennie Gaszler, and grandmother of the late Eduardo Lee, she is survived by her three children, Jeannie Lee, Dominick Azzaro and wife Debora, and Michael Azzaro and wife Denise; her sister, Helen Levanduski; her brother-in-law, Frank Azzaro; two grandchildren, Ariana Azzaro and Jaeson Lee; three great-grandchildren, Ariela, Austin and Gianna; as well as many nieces and nephews, and other family members.
Relatives and friends may attend a visitation on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton. A Catholic prayer service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Memorial Home with local clergy officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
