Janet C. McClure, 88, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Brookdale Hamilton, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born and raised in New Brunswick, she made her home in Yardville after marrying the love of her life, where she remained for the next 61 years while raising her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and true matriarch, she centered her life around those she loved most. Nothing brought her greater joy than caring for her family, whether through her wonderful cooking and baking or simply spending cherished time with her children and grandchildren.
She was a former member of the Yardville Presbyterian Church and was actively involved in many of the church’s women’s organizations, where she formed lasting friendships and dedicated her time to helping others.
Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth R. and Edith (Danberry) Schmidt; her beloved husband, Raymond B. McClure; son, Michael McClure; and brother, Kenneth W. Schmidt; she is survived by her son, Brian McClure; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Anthony Johnson; daughter-in-law, Marcia McClure; grandchildren, Matthew McClure, Jessica (Trevor) Johnson, Heather McClure, Anthony Johnson, Derek Johnson, Christina McClure and Lauren McClure; 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beatrice Schmidt; a niece, a nephew, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.
A prayer service will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, North Hanover Twp., NJ 08562.
