James C. Gould, 73, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of Northern Burlington High School, James was a Purple Heart Recipient who served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the State of New Jersey after many years as an Auto Mechanic. Jimmy as he was known by friends and family was an avid NASCAR fan, he also liked restoring antique cars. In his spare time, he enjoyed crabbing and saltwater fishing. Jimmy was a member of the Rolling Oldies Club, VFW NJ Chapter 899, Bordentown Senior Citizens, and was affiliated with Groveville Methodist Church. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Son of the late James M. and Margaret Csato Gould, husband of the late Lolita J. Gould, brother of the late Margaret Wood, and Jane Shinn, and predeceased by his companion Jeanne Vacca, he is survived by his two children and their spouses, James E. and Diana Gould, and Tomi-Anne Gould and Archie Croux; two sisters, Beverly Aroniss, and Susan Lake and her husband J. Christopher Migliacci; two grandchildren, James M. and Michael A. Gould, and good friends, Marty Ludwick, Ron Franks, Jordy Ludwick, and Valentin Hoenisch; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday,
September 16, 2021
from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the
Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home,
30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
Funeral Services will be held 12 noon at the Groveville United Methodist Church, 447 Church Street, Groveville, NJ 08620, with Pastor Scott Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund,1235 South Clark Street, Suite 910, Arlington, VA 22202, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
