Harry J. Garey, Jr., 70, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, He was a lifelong Hamilton area resident. Harry was employed for more than 30 years for the Township of Hamilton, working at Veterans Park in the Maintenance Dept. He was an avid New York Yankees fan who enjoyed going to the horse track and playing the Pick 3 Lottery. But what brought Harry the most joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his brother Billy.
Predeceased by his parents, Lydia Kownecky and Harry Garey, Sr., and son-in-law, Scott Possert, he is survived by his daughters and
sons-in-law, Deana and Fred Tomko, Maria Possert and Michelle and Michael Coleman; grandchildren, Taylor, Bailey and Chloe Tomko, Chase and Mason Possert, and Makayla and Kendall Coleman; his siblings, Patricia (Skip) Kontura, Dorothy (Charles) Sheppard, Ruth (John) Zappley, Ann (Michael) Fox, William (Patricia) Garey, Sandy (Brian) Gagliostro and Joseph Garey; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Services are private and under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ.
