Gregory Ramos, Jr.

June 11, 1957 - July 11, 2022

Gregory Ramos, Jr., 65, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022, after a brief illness, at Capital Health Systems at Fuld, Trenton, surrounded by his loving family.


Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he came to the United States at a young age and lived in Ocean County area. In 1969 he moved to Trenton and has been a Yardville resident for many years. He was a proud honorably discharged U.S. Navy Veteran, and was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony ‘s Church in Trenton.


Gregory was an electronic engineer technician specializing in military and aerospace electronics. He was employed with many different companies over the years, working with Base Ten, Thales Avionies Inc., EDO MTech, and Exelis Inc., to name a few. He ran a successful videography business, Videos Forever, for many years and filmed special events throughout the community, including his daughter’s annual dance recitals. He was an avid reader who enjoyed sports, grilling, and watching documentaries on TV. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved camping with his family and always enjoyed attending all events for his grandchildren.


Predeceased by his parents, Gregorio Ramos, Sr. and Dionisia Perez, and his sister Theresa Pagan; he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Iris A. (Rodriguez) Ramos; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vanessa Ramos and finacé, Johnny Donahue, and Kristina Carocci and fiancé Jay Volb; siblings, Luis A. (Maria) Ramos; Maria (Enrique) Medina, Jose (Luz) Perez, Annie Ramos, Geraldo Ramos, Elba Alvarez; grandchildren, Tyler and Gavin Carocci, Dana Volb, and Julian and Amelia Donahue; step mother, Mercedes Mena; brothers-in-law, John Rodriguez, Father Nestor Rodriguez, Luis M (Katherine) Cancel,; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.


Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony, 626 South Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ, 08629.


Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.


There will be no calling hours or services at the funeral home Saturday prior to mass.
