November 8, 1958 - March 16, 2024
Gilbert B. Emery, 65, of Burlington Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024 while at home surrounded by the love of his family, after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Long Branch, NJ, he has been a resident of Burlington Township for the past 32 years. He was employed for many years as a parts manager, most recently with Stout’s Transportation.
Gil truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. He was a self-taught handyman who loved classic rock, sports and BBQing. His favorite pastime was taking in the beautiful scenery and catching pickerel in the Whitesbog Historic Village. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Predeceased by his father, Gilbert B. Emery; mother, Nora Louise (Bartek) Golden; and
his sister, Dee Gomer; he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Joann (Thompson)
Emery; his three daughters, Stephanie Emery; Samantha Mader and husband, Dan Mader, and Kelli Rose Emery; Brother, Keith Golden; five grandchildren, Jayce (8), Kalani (7), Asher (6), Rylo (2) and Remy (1); his grand dog, Jax and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
A Gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, from
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown
Road, Yardville.
Words of Remembrance will be shared beginning at 1:00 p.m.
