George E. Goldenbaum

November 5, 1942 - June 19, 2021


George E. Goldenbaum, 78, of Trenton, NJ, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 19, 2021, at University of Pennsylvania Hospital.


Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. George was a proud honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Supervisor from New Jersey Department of Corrections after many years of service. He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. George was a passionate fisherman who loved going out to fish on the Norma K. III, and Gambler fishing boats. He was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed any types of puzzles. Above all else, George loved and cared for his family, their dogs, and birds. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.


Predeceased by his parents, George W. and Gladys S. (King) Goldenbaum, daughter Amy Lynn Goldenbaum, and father-in-law Vincent Angeline; he is survived by his wife of 41 years Lynn D. (Angeline) Goldenbaum; daughters, Kim Goldenbaum and her partner Dave Harper, and Megan Goldenbaum; granddaughter Cassidy Goldenbaum-Harper; mother-in-law, Doris Angeline; as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives, and dear friends.


A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, July 2, 2021, at St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ.


Burial will follow in the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Twp., NJ.


Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday July 2, 2021, from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ.
