Gabriel "Gabo" Castellano

Gabriel “Gabo” Castellano, 41, of  passed away peacefully and suddenly on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton.


Affectionately known as "Gabo" by his family and friends, Gabriel was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and was a proud graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 2003. Following graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, where he served with honor and distinction, achieving the rank of Sergeant before receiving an honorable discharge.


After completing his military service, Gabo continued his pursuit of excellence by attending Penn State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He went on to build a successful career in the Information Technology industry and was a dedicated employee of OSG for more than ten years, where his intelligence, strong work ethic, and commitment earned the respect of both colleagues and friends.

Gabo was a charismatic, hardworking, and driven man whose infectious personality could light up any room. He possessed a remarkable ability to connect with people, never meeting a stranger and effortlessly making friends wherever life took him. His quick wit, playful sense of humor, and love of making others laugh left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.


His Puerto Rican heritage was an enormous source of pride throughout his life. Deeply connected to his roots, Gabo embraced every aspect of his Puerto Rican culture, celebrating its traditions, music, and values with immense pride. Music was one of his greatest passions, with salsa always holding a special place in his heart. A talented musician, he enjoyed playing both the piano and the guitar, sharing his love of music with those around him.


In his free time, Gabo loved playing video games, especially Nintendo and Mario, finding joy in friendly competition and reliving the classics he cherished.


Above all else, Gabo was a devoted husband, loving father,  beloved son, and brother and fierce protector of those he loved. Family was the center of his world and the driving force behind everything he did. He worked tirelessly to provide for them, always placing the needs of his wife and children before his own. They were his greatest source of happiness, his proudest accomplishment, and truly the love of his life. His unwavering devotion, strength, and unconditional love will forever remain an inspiration to all who knew him.


Predeceased by his father, Pablo Agosto, Jr.; he is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Chelsea (Edwards) Castellano; three children, Marina (10), Elena (8) and Gabriel, Jr. (5); his mother and stepfather, Sonia and Kevin Gardiner; two sisters, Christina (Rudolph) Lopez, Jenny (Kevin) Salgado; Chelsea’s granny, Diane Edwards;  as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.


Visitation for family and friends will be held on   Monday, July 13, 2026 from 5:00mp.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.


Cremation will take place privately.
