Frank T. Grosso

October 6, 1938 - February 7, 2025

Frank T. Grosso, 86, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Hamilton Grove, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born and raised in Trenton, he remained a lifelong area resident, most recently calling Bordentown home.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Frank held many jobs as a young man, but his passion for food and people led him to the restaurant business. He opened his first restaurant, Grosso’s Pizza, and later became the owner and operator of Park Place Café, where he created not just meals but memories for so many.

Frank had a larger-than-life personality and a heart to match. A true entertainer at heart, he was an Elvis impersonator and even marched in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade as “The King.” His love for music, old cars, and bringing joy to others was evident in everything he did. His kindness, generosity, and infectious spirit made an impact on everyone who knew him.

A longtime parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church, Frank’s faith and love for his family were the cornerstones of his life. In his later years, he enjoyed working at Home Depot, where he continued to connect with people and brighten their days.

Predeceased by his parents, Thomas J. and Mary A. (Della Rossa) Grosso; his brother, Luke Grosso; his sister, Phyllis Grosso; and his beloved wife, Mary E. (Shue) Grosso, who passed away in 2024, Frank is now reunited with those he loved.

He leaves behind a cherished legacy in his children, Sandra Sanford and her husband, Theodore, Charlie Higham, and Sharon Manyoky and her husband, Paul; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Harry Goldman and Maria and Joseph Vannozzi; his cherished grandchildren, Jay Higham, Christina Szul, Caitlin Angelucci and her husband, Nicholas, Kelly Ann McGirr and her husband, Raymond, Jessica Higham, and Joseph Higham; three great-grandchildren, Mayla Szul, Logan Szul, and Leo Angelucci; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Frank’s warmth, generosity, and love for life will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. St. Anthony Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08629.
