Erlinda Miranda Galipot

October 6, 1941 - January 1, 2025


In loving memory of Erlinda Miranda Galipot. She passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the age of 83 while being surrounded by her loved ones.

 

Erlinda was born on October 6, 1941 in the Philippines to her mother Maria, and her father Honorio. She was the youngest of four siblings, her oldest sister Narcissa, her second oldest sister Aning, and her brother Doroy. When Narcissa had children, Erlinda helped raise them as her caring younger sister. She met her future spouse, Maximo Galipot when they were both teenagers at the age of 17. They both married each other in 1968. They had two kids together, Lionel and Florizel Galipot.

 

Erlinda graduated from Far Eastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. With her college degree, she pursued her career as an elementary school teacher from 1968 to 1975. She immigrated to the United States in 1975 and worked at several different companies doing various jobs prior to her retirement. Some of her notable accomplishments were becoming employee of the month while working at the Helene Fuld Medical Center, and she helped pay for the education of several of her relatives. She also helped raise her three grandchildren Gabriel, Isabella, and Alexandria.

 

Erlinda was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Honorio, and her siblings, Narcissa, Aning, and Doroy. Her legacy lives on in her husband Maximo Jr., two children Lionel and Florizel, Lionel’s wife Theresa, and her three grandchildren Gabriel, Isabella, and Alexandria.

 

Erlinda’s viewing will be on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Yardville, NJ, 08620.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Queenship of Mary Church, 16 Dey Rd., Plainsboro, NJ.

 

Her burial will follow at the Holy Cross Burial Park, Mary Sorrowful Mother Mausoleum, 840 Cranbury-South River Rd., Jamesburg, NJ 08831.

 

Donations can be made in her memory to Saints Francis and Claire Foundation (sfcfcalifornia.org) with Mission in the Philippines.

Tita Erly was a mother to us. She was always there to give us help ever since before and. after my mother (Narcisa) death.

She will always be part of the family and will be remember by.
